Child Stars Gone Bad: Jodie Sweetin

Jodie Sweetin is the little girl that made the line, "How rude" so very famous. Sweetin played Stephanie Tanner on the hit show Full House. She played along side Bob Saget, and the famous twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.                                                  Full House was a very popular show that started in 1987 to 1995. Born in 1982, Sweetin spent her entire child hood on that set framed in San Francisco. She became very close with the cast and when the show ended Sweetin was devastated  When the show was canceled in 1995, Sweetin was 13, and had to enter into public school. She graduated from High School and entered college where she experimented with a lot of drugs and alcohol. She ended up dropping out of college with a .9 GPA.

In 2002, Sweetin married a police officer. During that marriage she began doing crystal meth and eventually became addicted. Three years of being addicted to meth, Sweetin was hospitalized and agreed to go into a rehab facility. With six weeks of rehab, Sweetin had gotten a lot better, and was stabilized.

Sweetin recently has had minor roles on television with hosting a couple of shows and starring in a pilot. She has two children and is currently separated from her second husband. She works at a Rehab Facility as the clinical logistics coordinator. Jodie Sweetin caught the eye of many people and was seen as the funny middle sibling. Even though she hit a rough patch in her life, today she is doing great and working hard to stay sober. 

Child star gone bad: Macaulay Culkin

Starting out his career in three famous movies, Macaulay Culkin started his career young and ended out at the bottom. His most famous role in Uncle Buck made him the most famous kid in his generation, then there was Home Alone and My Girl that put his fame over the edge. With these roles under his belt, his celebrity status made things available to him that weren't necessarily good.

Culkin started doing drugs at an early age and was arrested in   2004 for obsession of marijuana and other prescription drugs. Before this he married Rachel Miner in 1998, and soon divorced in 2000. This was the first sign something was going to go wrong.  After Culkin became known as a party animal on drugs he disappeared out of the spot light. 

With Culkin's removal out of the spot he was seen quite a bit with Mila Kunis. They allegedly dated from 2002-2011.  Then out of no where when Michael Jackson was on trial for molestation charges, Culkin testified on Jackson's behalf saying the charges were outrageous. Culkin is named godfather to some of Jackson's children.

 Culkin now, stays out of the spotlight and makes rare appearances, such as this year in mid October he spoke at New York's Comic Con. Hopefully Culkin will make a comeback either in front of the camera or on stage.

Child Stars gone bad: Lindsay Lohan

We all know the little red head who played 2 people in the movie, The Parent Trap. Lindsay Lohan at a young age was very talented. She was able to play twins in her very first movie, with one of them having a british accent. From The Parent Trap, Lohan went on to play in other major movies like Freaky Friday and then a more recent one Georgia Rule.

During Lohan's acting career she also took a bite at the music industry where she started to get a little scandalous. One famous song, Rumors had a very risky music video with explicit dancing.

Lohan has gone through many phases in her life. She has gone through many friends and also boyfriends. Lohan has been spotted with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears at the clubs, along with dating the female Dj, Samantha Ronson. At the young age of 21, Lohan entered  rehab for drugs and alcohol. Along with rehab she has also served some time in jail for drugs along with a DUI. Lohan knew she needed help, and she thought the only way to help herself was if she actually went to jail. She only ended up going to jail for a few hours but she did a lot of community service hours at a morgue.


                                               Currently Lohan is out of jail and rehab. 
                                     She is laying low and "trying" to stay out of trouble.
                                                How long that will last, we do not know. 

Child stars gone wrong: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus started her career on Disney Channel as the famous, Hannah Montana! Now she has ventured away from Disney and is now focused her career on music. Although she played a few roles in movies like, The Last Song and So Undercover, Cyrus has changed her image completely. From the long brown haired country girl, Cyrus cut off all her hair and went to bleach blonde. Some may say that Cyrus has gone off the deep end, but actually it is all a strategic planned out life.

Cyrus has recently been on the Good Morning America show in a skimpy outfit that has caused a lot of controversy. Many people think that Miley is on drugs, and that she doesn't know what she is doing. On October 2nd MTV aired Miley Cyrus's documentary called The Movement.  

Cyrus spoke about how everyone doesn't understand her. She says that Madonna and Lady Gaga have done controversial things, what is the difference between them and her. She also stated that everything she does is planned. 

Throughout the video Cyrus sounds very stern and serious and not "crazy" at all. 

So is Cyrus a child star gone bad or not????? From following her on twitter and watching The Movement, Cyrus seems like she has her life in control more then most people I know. It is inspiring that as a young girl she has already accomplished so much. 

"You’re always going to make people talk," she says. "You might as well make them talk for two weeks rather than two seconds."

Child Celeb stars gone bad: Amanda Bynes

Many people know Amanda Bynes from The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon. Now she is know as the celeb star who threw a bong out a window of the 36th floor of her building and lit a driveway on fire in California. Bynes has grown up so much since her child star days but something clearly happened to her that set her off the deep end. She is appearing in court with wigs on, got her cheeks pierced and on top of that she is using her twitter account to vent. Venting to Bynes means explicit pictures and also ripping apart other celebrities. A famous celebrity that she doesn't leave alone is the rap star, Drake. She has called him ugly and stupid on her twitter account , to then saying she loves him and wants to go on a date.

Currently Bynes is at a treatment facility in Malibu called The Canyon. The facility caters to celebrities like Brooke Muller.  Sources from TMZ say that Bynes does not leave her area in the facility and is not wearing her wig. Her main issue is that she is "paranoid" that paparazzi will find her. Psychiatric help is what Bynes needs. Her family needs to step in and get her the help that she needs. People will defiantly want to see Amanda recover and get back to a healthy state.
